The Regulation of Biological Function by MetalloproteinsMetalloproteins play an important role for energy metabolism, molecular metabolism, and signal transduction in biological systems. The elucidation of the structure and function of these metalloproteins is central to understanding the regulatory mechanisms associated with biological functioning. We are currently elucidating the structure-function relationships of metalloproteins using experimental methods in the areas of biochemistry, molecular biology, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and physical chemistry. |
