Invitation Program

Eligibility:
(1) Nationality
Invited young researchers must be a citizen of an ASEAN country (Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippine, Brunei, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, or Laos). Researchers from India, Australia, New Zealand, China, Korea or Taiwan may also be included.
(2) Degree
The researchers must have been awarded a doctorate degree within six years from the proposed starting date of their research in Japan, or be currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral course.
(3) Affiliation
The researchers must be, in principle, affiliated with or enrolled in an institution in one of the eligible countries listed in (1) above.

Revisit Program:

In order to encourage and support the on-going collaboration, we invite the former JENESYS or EXODASS participants to revisit this program.  Due to the limitation of the budget, support for the revisit program is limited, but we hope the revisit program will lead to the fruitful results of the collaborative works.
For the application to the revisit program, the applicant should describe the concrete reasons to apply in the research proposal. Also the acceptance/recommendation letter from the host professor should be submitted.

Supports:
1) Travel fare (round trip)
2) Insurance
3) Accommodation
4) Travel expense in Japan for research
5) Daily expense
For Postdoc level: 2,500 JPY/day
For Students: 2,000 JPY/day
For the revisit program participants: Sum of the support must be up to 300,000 JPY

Invitation Period:
14–90 days between October – December, 2013
We strongly require that the date of EXODASS general meeting and mini-symposium (December 10-13, 2013) must be included in the invitation period.


Capacity:
6-10 researchers including revisit program participants
