1. Position:
Assistant Professor

2. Job Description:
Experimental studies for the synthesis and structure analysis of functional organic materials, in collaboration with Associate Professor Yasutomo Segawa. Participation in managements of IMS which is an inter-university research institute*. Teaching and supervising graduate students as an assistant professor of SOKENDAI (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies).

4. Conditions of employment:
Full-time, permanent. Internal promotion is not allowed. A successful candidate is encouraged to transfer to a position outside the institute after approximately six years.

5. Required qualifications for the candidate:
Applicants should possess a M.Sc. degree, Ph.D. degree or an equivalent scientific career.

6. Expected start date:
On or at the earliest possible date after December 1st, 2020

9. Selection process:
Candidates will be selected under the advice of a personnel committee of the IMS. IMS may withhold selection if there is no suitable person for the position.

10. Compensation:
In accordance with the NINS employee compensation regulation. 

11. Submission:

Prof. Yasutomo Segawa’, and the main text should contain your name and ‘Position: Assistant Professor in the Division of Functional Coordination Chemistry’ at the beginning.
