Invitation Program

Eligibility:
(1) Nationality
Invited young researchers must be a citizen of an ASEAN country (Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippine, Brunei, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, or Laos).
* However, researchers from India, Australia or New Zealand may also be included.
(2) Degree
The researchers must have been awarded a doctorate degree within six years from the proposed starting date of their research in Japan, or be currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral course.
(3) Affiliation
The researchers must be, in principle, affiliated with or enrolled in an institution in one of the eligible countries listed in (1) above.

Revisit Program                                     
In order to encourage and support the on-going collaboration, we invite the former JENESYS (JSPS or JASSO) or EXODASS participants to revisit this program.  Due to the limitation of the budget, support for the revisit program is limited, but we hope the revisit program will lead to the fruitful results of the collaborative works.
For the application to the revisit program, the applicant should describe the concrete reasons to apply in the research proposal. Also the acceptance/recommendation letter from the host professor should be submitted.

Supports:
1) Travel fare (round trip)
2) Insurance
3) Domestic Expense (including accommodation, travel fee in Japan, and daily expense)
For Postdoc level: 200,000 JPY/month (approximate estimate)
For Students: 160,000 JPY/month (approximate estimate)

Invitation Period:
14–90 days between August–October, 2010
We strongly recommend that the date of JENESYS general meeting and mini-symposium (October 11, 2011) will be included in the invitation period.
