The Winter School of Sokendai/Asian CORE Program
"Research and Its Challenges in Molecular Science:
Fundamentals and State-of-the-Art"

Date: January 13-16, 2015

Venue: Okazaki Conference Center, National Institutes of Natural Sciences, Okazaki, Japan (10-15 min. walk from Higashi-Okazaki station or 10 min. walk from Institute for Molecular Science)

Subjects:
Innovations and challenges in molecular science, from basics to cutting-edge researches. All programs are intended for graduate students and young researchers in Asian countries. All lectures and printed materials will be provided in English.

Participants from Japan: November 14, 2014

Introduction:
Winter Schools, held by School of Physical Sciences, the Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI), offer fundamental classes on pioneering themes to foster creative researchers in Asia. The Winter Schools at Institute for Molecular Science (IMS) have received more than 350 students in the last eight years from Bangladesh, China, India, Iran, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and other East Asian countries. The coming School is intended for advanced undergraduate and graduate students as well as young researchers in Asian countries who study molecular sciences. Lectures will be given by faculties from our departments as well as invited lecturers who participate in AsianCORE Program.

Financial support for travel and local expenses is offered by SOKENDAI to a limited number of participants from foreign countries.

The financial support includes
- Round-trip fare between your country and Japan: Arrival on Jan.13 and departure on Jan.17.
- Accommodation (Mishima Lodge): Four nights (Jan.13,14,15 and 16)
