Project Title: Development of technologies for a cold-atom based quantum computer
Professor: Kenji OHMORI
https://groups.ims.ac.jp/organization/ohmori_g/members-e.html

Details of the project:

Our research group works on multiple technologies used in quantum simulators and quantum computers based on laser-cooled atoms.
We offer internship projects in some of the following areas:
- laser and optics technology (building a laser system, development of an optical circuit, ...)
- electronics and microwave technology (implementation of a new electronic card)
- atomic and quantum physics (control of the atom motion, of the electronic spin, ...)
- software programming (write a driver for a new instrument, create an optimization routine)
- modelling of quantum gates (simulate various source of errors for single and two-qubit gates)
