Financial Supports
This is a system established by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), where graduate students are employed as research assistants to support faculty research and receive a salary. In the Molecular Science Program, graduate students of all years are employed as RAs (Research Assistants). The RA employment records are as shown in the table below. Furthermore, we have decided to increase the annual amount received per person starting from the 2024 academic year.

1) Employment rate for graduate students enrolled for a full year (excluding students on leave).
For students enrolled in the 3-year doctoral program (3rd-year transfer), the employment rate applies to graduate students excluding JSPS Research Fellows and MEXT Scholarship students.

3) Additional payment is possible from each laboratory's budget.
Since the 2015 academic year, the Institute for Molecular Science has established a system to employ students recognized as particularly excellent as SRAs. Furthermore, we have decided to increase the salary from the 2024 academic year.
