The 71st Okazaki Conference

The Okazaki Conference (small-sized international research conference in the field of molecular science) in FY2011 will be held on the main topic of "New perspectives on molecular science of glycoconjugates".
Sugar chains are regarded as the third biological chains after nucleic acids and proteins, which form glycoconjugates with proteins and lipids and thereby play crucial roles in biological systems.  In this conference leading scientists in the researches of glycoconjugates will get together, to discuss new developments and the future of glycoconjugate molecular sciences.  The conference organization is co-chaired by Prof. Soichi Wakatsuki (High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK)) and Prof. Koichi Kato (IMS; Okazaki Institute for Integrative Bioscience).  The details of the conference will be announced later.
