Three distinguished professors from Weizmann Institute of Science visited to IMS and gave impressive lectures

IMS welcomed the visit of Prof. Prior, Prof. Averbukh, and Prof. Silberberg, from Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS), Israel, during November 5th – 6th. The three professors are world-wide leaders in the atomic, molecular, and optical science. They visited several laboratories in IMS and made fruitful discussions on present activities with the IMS researchers. Also, possible upcoming collaboration between IMS and WIS was discussed.

In 5th afternoon, the three professors kindly gave a series of lectures, entitled "Light-matter surface interactions on the nano scale," "Controlling molecular rotation by multiple laser pulses: From molecular alignment to Anderson localization," and "Quantum random walks in photonic lattices." All of them represented the accomplishments from top-level researches conducted in WIS, and was really stimulating to all the precipitants of the seminar.
