Assist. Prof. Sylvain de Leseleuc gives a lecture on science in English (December 17, 2021)

On December 17, 2021, at Aichi Prefectural Okazaki Kita Senior High School, Assist. Prof. Sylvain de Leseleuc gave a lecture. His comment about the lecture is as follows.

I gave a lecture on "Catching single atoms to explore the quantum world" in English to the high school students. The students were excited to hear for the first time about advanced concepts such as 'photons', 'catching atoms with lights', 'atomic clocks', 'quantum physics' ... After the talk, they asked impressively pertinent questions leading to an hour-long discussion together. I deeply enjoyed the opportunity to share my research with these young and energetic students, and I think it was a nice and refreshing experience for both them and me.
