Lecture Title | "Using femtosecond laser pulses to 'see' small molecules" |
---|---|
Date | Thursday 9 July 2009 16:00 |
Lecturer | Professor Joseph Sanderson (Department of Physics, University of Waterloo, Canada) |
Place | Main Office Building of IMS Room #201 |
Summary | I will review the development of Coulomb imaging to the present day including some digressions and stories highlighting the massive development of our ability to image high speed dynamics in the past few years. I will describe the setup in my own laboratory and talk about our experiments on triatomic molecules. Finally I will discuss our very recent work at the ALLS (Advanced Laser Light source) laboratory in Montreal using few cycle laser pulses to probe enhanced ionization. |
