Summary	Open seminar by Prof. Jean-Pierre Sauvage (University of Strasbourg) is held on Oct 2 (Fri). Prof. Jean-Pierre Sauvage is a pioneer in the field of supra molecular chemistry. In 1983 he published the first template and high yield synthesis of a catenae having two interlocked rings. His idea opened the door for synthesis of interlocking molecules. He also developed synthesis of molecular knots. Now supra molecular chemistry eventually aims at application to molecular computers.
