Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) are useful due to their application potentials in gas storage, separation and catalysis. The pore environment and pore size are two critical parameters of these porous materials representing the interface that directly interact with the guest molecules accessing pore structure. The exquisite design of the pore environment through combination of functional groups and the precise control of the pore size and pore aperture will be discussed, along with their impart on gas adsorption properties. |
