Associate Professor at Exploratory Research Center on Life and Living Systems (ExCELLS), National Institutes of Natural Sciences (NINS), Okazaki, Japan1. Position:
Associate Professor (one position)*

2. Job description:
Research aimed at understanding the nature of life through the design and creation of molecules and molecular systems. The successful candidate for this position shall conduct research while also serving as the Associate Professor at the Institute for Molecular Science (IMS). Participation in the management at the IMS and ExCELLS as a member of the inter-university research institute*. Teaching and supervising graduate students as an associate professor of SOKENDAI (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies).

3. Conditions of employment:

4. Expected start date:
On or at the earliest possible date after April 1st, 2024
5. Research resources:
(1) The successful candidate will be supported with a lab space and start-up budget funded by the director general of the IMS.
(2) The successful candidate is expected to serve as a principal investigator of a research group, which consists of one associate professor (this recruit), one assistant professor (to be recruited), and one secretary (shared).

8. Selection process:
Candidates will be selected under the advice of a personnel committee of the IMS and steering committee of the ExCELLS.
The IMS may withhold selection if there is no suitable person for the position.
9. Compensation:
In accordance with the NINS employee compensation regulation.
10. Submission:
