Senior Researchers can be assigned to research facilities in IMS. The Senior Researcher should have international and interdisciplinary viewpoints in science and technology and plan the middle- and long-term future plan for the research facility in cooperation with its director. The Senior Researcher has responsibility not only for the development, maintenance, and high-level use of advanced research systems but also for the training of technical associates belonging to the research facility. The Senior Researcher is tenured until the retirement age of 65 and appointed as one of regular research professors.
