| 概 要 | In my talk I will cover a number of experiments conducted with ultrafast laser methods to unravel the initial light induced dynamics in native and synthetically modified bacteriorhodopsin samples. These will include broad band pump probe, stimulated emission pumping, and most recently impulsive vibrational spectroscopy with sub 10 fsec pulses. The conclusion of these studies is that the enigma of primary light induced events in BR persists, defying nearly all models proposed for the first picoseconds of molecular evolution in this system to date. |
