概 要 | Coherent Excitation is an important tool in many fields, spanning quantum information, to quantum chemistry. In general, coherent excitation is a well-understood process for idealized systems. However, physical systems in the laboratory are rarely ideal. Furthermore, some aspects of coherent excitation, such as the “adiabatic condition” in processes such as “rapid adiabatic passage” have yet to be explored experimentally. In general, the very measurement techniques used to check a theoretical model, themselves rely on that or other models for interpretation. In this talk I describe a model-independent technique, based on the incoherent process of charge transfer, in which the temporal evolution of populations is measured. We describe some results of these measurements for various excitation processes, including STIRAP (stimulated rapid adiabatic passage). |
