概 要

Electric field modulation spectroscopy is very useful to elucidate the electronic structure and dynamics of photosensitive materials. It is one of the most reliable techniques for obtaining quantitative information on electrostatic properties such as electric dipole moment (μ), molecular polarizability (α) or their changes following photoexcitation. Optical properties of OLEDs polymers and quinoline derivatives have been the subject of wide investigation. Quinoline derivatives play a crucial role in understanding biological systems because of their ability of charge transfer, proton transfer and fluorescence quenching in their respective states. I will discuss these important processes, which were probed by steady state, sub picoseconds time-resolved and electric field modulation spectroscopy. Photoluminescence from OLEDs polymer films will be the matter of discussion in this presentation, which has been explored by Stark spectroscopy and direct measurement of electric field effects on decay profiles.
