| 概 要 | Non-covalent interactions control the three dimensional structure of macromolecules and the supramolecular assemblies. In this lecture an attempt is made to investigate the molecular aggregation patterns of hydrogen bonded and stacked clusters. Further, the importance and relevance of cation-p interactions will be explained along with non-covalent functionalisation of carbon nano-structures. Atomic level understanding of condensed phase structure warrants a clear understanding of the role, strength and relevance non-covalent interactions and how do they mutually influence each other. Through a series of quantum chemical calculations and crystal structure analyses we present studies which provide insights into the cooperative interaction of non-covalent interactions in supramolecular aggregation. |
